Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as older boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive training in singing. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young musician and student. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her involved in local activities both as an artist and educator. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
