MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He dropped Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album in the years following. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo has an musical family, as both his parents and brother are also musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. As a child he learned to play saxophone guitar as well as piano and ukulele. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban singer, he changed the direction of his career.
